Frequently asked questions

How often should I service my trailer?
This is very much dependent on the mileage you do with your trailer but you should aim to have your trailer serviced yearly. This will ensure the brakes are properly adjusted, the tyres are at the correct pressures and the lights work.

What will it cost?
A lot depends on the age of the trailer and when it was last serviced. A service on a year old trailer is normally £60. A main service on a trailer over 2 years old would normally be around £120 + parts.

How important is a service?
To ensure safe and trouble free running a service is very important. It’s important to remember that trailers are road going vehicles; servicing ensures they are always ‘road safe’ and that they are not going to let you down because of technical problems. Regular servicing of your trailer could save you money in the long run as future problems can be diagnosed before they become an issue.
